Lameko Impex SIA was founded in 1992 as a Latvian-German joint venture. The sole owner of the company is the German firm Baltika Holzindustrie GmbH. Lameko Impex is engaged in the export and wholesale of sawn timber, as well as the import of materials for surface treatment (such as varnishes, adhesives, and abrasives). The primary producer and supplier of sawn timber is its subsidiary, Smiltene Impex, which was established in 1994 and has a production capacity of 80,000 m³.
