Dual vocational training in Lithuania according to German standards

The German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce supports companies in Lithuania in carrying out a high-quality practice-oriented dual vocational training oriented towards German standards, applying globally comparable and quality-assured standards and certifying them.

In order to meet the different requirements of companies for dual vocational training, the new range of services is based on the essential core elements of German dual vocational training according to the following DIHK quality categories:

DIHK Quality Categories

German dual training abroad (A)

AHK vocational training services in this category predominantly comply with the quality requirements of dual vocational education and training as described in the German Vocational Training Act, the training regulations and the examination regulations. This concerns systemic and content standards. They contain only marginal adjustments to local conditions

Local dual vocational training according to German model (B)

This AHK vocational training service is dual vocational training, which is strongly oriented towards the German model, but has an increased local degree of adaptation in a flexible manner. The systemic and content standards are increasingly aligned with local conditions.

Local dual qualification with German system elements (C)

AHK - Vocational training services in this category are local labour market relevant, vocational qualifications, which have a dual character. The systemic and content standards bear a dual basic character and are predominantly local.

As part of the network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad and in cooperation with the German chamber network, the DIHK and IHKs, this globally standardised certification serves as a quality-assurance measure for the vocational training projects of all participating stakeholders.

 

Currently, the following certifications are available through the AHK in Lithuania:

  • Companies providing dual training – Quality seal “This company offers dual training.”
  • Vocational schools that are partners in the dual system – Quality seal “This school is a cooperation partner in dual vocational training.”
  • Successful graduates of the AHK examination procedure in accordance with DIHK quality category C within the dual training programme Mechatronics Technician for Automation Systems – further dual training programmes such as Tool Mechanic and IT Specialist are under development!
  • Successful graduates of the AHK-DIHK Train-the-trainer (AdA) International basic version instructor training.
