Vocational Training Committee AHK Platform for Dual Vocational Education and Training Based on the German Model

In line with the institutional framework commonly used in Germany, the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce (AHK) in Lithuania has established a Vocational Training Committee (AHK-VET Board). Its aim is to hold regular meetings with representatives of committed AHK member companies, vocational schools, Lithuanian ministries and chambers, as well as other relevant stakeholders to discuss matters relating to dual vocational education and training, identify the needs of companies, recommend suitable solutions, and adopt decisions and regulations based on quality standards inspired by the German model.

This Vocational Training Committee serves as a platform to promote strategic, technical and operational exchange, to address training and qualification needs for securing skilled labour, and to jointly develop and coordinate concepts. The objective is to regularly pool the expertise of HR professionals and vocational training specialists. The Committee was established in October 2023 and is coordinated by the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce (AHK) in Lithuania.
