About the speaker:
Rūta Bilkštytė joined Rödl & Partner Lithuania as a Head of Tax Department after completing her tenure as Vice Minister of Finance in Lithuania, where she played a pivotal role in shaping national fiscal policies, overseeing complex tax reform initiatives, and fostering international cooperation. This recent high-profile role further complements her extensive career and solidifies her status as one of Lithuania’s foremost tax authorities. Between 1991 and 1999, Rūta held senior positions in the Audit and Appeals Departments at the Vilnius State Tax Inspectorate and later managed the Audit Department at the Central Tax Inspectorate. In 2000, she played a pioneering role in establishing the Tax Department at one of the 'Big Four' companies, where she managed the department until 2008.
Rūta is highly regarded for her thought leadership in tax policy and practice. She has been a sought-after speaker at the largest business conferences in Lithuania, regularly invited to share her insights on complex tax issues. In addition, she conducts seminars and training for both companies and state institutions, having played an instrumental role in improving the professional qualifications of employees at the State Tax Inspectorate, particularly in the fields of tax inspections and transfer pricing.
