About the RSU Anatomy Museum

The Rīga Stradiņš University Anatomy Museum is a truly unique museum: a historical collection presented with a modern approach. The museum is based on the first teaching collection used in anatomy studies in Latvia, created in the 1920s and 1930s.

Located in the anatomical theatre, the collection has been an integral part of Latvian medical education for 100 years. Today, the museum is open to the public, allowing visitors to see what is usually reserved for anatomists and surgeons.

Here, you can explore the diversity of human bodies – skeletons, embryos, bones, body parts, and organs – and observe how they vary in both healthy and diseased forms. Everything on display is real, offering a fascinating and authentic insight into human anatomy.

Join us on November 26 at 15:30 for an exclusive AHK member visit to the Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) Anatomy Museum – a unique place where science, history, and human curiosity come together.

Together with RSU Vice-Rector for Science Agrita Kiopa, Innovation Centre Head Līga Žūka, and Chancellor Toms Baumanis, we’ll hear from RSU’s representatives and learn more about their work and ongoing initiatives.

After a short presentation and open discussion, enjoy a relaxed coffee break with fellow members, followed by a guided tour of the museum’s remarkable collection. We look forward to an inspiring afternoon of ideas, conversation, and discovery.
