From autonomous driving to smart payment systems, from automated services to entirely new business models – machines and algorithms are stepping up alongside humans.

 

Exclusive Business Trip “Automotive Industry – Future Trends and Technologies to Baden-Württemberg”

 

The German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce (AHK) invites you to an exclusive business trip titled “Automotive Industry – Future Trends and Technologies to Baden-Württemberg” taking place from September 18–19, 2025. This trip will take you to leading institutions and companies at the forefront of the future automotive industry. You will travel to Baden-Württemberg, a unique ecosystem for cutting-edge technologies in the sector.

 

The trip includes a visit to one of Mercedes-Benz’s largest production facilities, the Mercedes-Benz plant in Sindelfingen, renowned for manufacturing the S-Class, E-Class, and fully electric EQ models. You'll also visit the headquarters and main factory of Porsche AG in Zuffenhausen, where all 911 and 718 models as well as the fully electric Taycan are produced. During the factory tour, you will experience various phases of the automotive production process.

 

Additionally, you will explore the Audi plant in Neckarsulm, known for producing premium and high-performance vehicles, including the Audi A6, A7, A8, and the sporty RS models. The program also includes a visit to Flex Automotive Design Center, a global technology company where complex electronic systems such as ECUs, DC/DC converters, gateways, and software solutions are developed.

 

Evening Program

An eventful first day concludes with a dinner and a guided night walk through Stuttgart’s beautiful old town — a perfect opportunity for networking and getting to know one another.

 

Program Highlights

 

· Visit to Mercedes-Benz in Sindelfingen

The Mercedes-Benz Sindelfingen plant is one of the company’s largest production sites, known for building the S-Class, E-Class, and fully electric EQ models. It is a global center of excellence for luxury vehicles and autonomous driving. The Mercedes-Benz Design Center is also located here, where new vehicle concepts are created.

The plant offers insight into the future of the automotive industry and is a pioneer in electric vehicle manufacturing. It leads the way in developing and implementing innovative production and technology processes in the context of Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory.

 

· Visit to Porsche AG in Zuffenhausen

At Porsche’s headquarters in Zuffenhausen, you will experience the blend of tradition and modernity in the automotive sector. During the factory tour, you will explore various phases of vehicle production — from fine craftsmanship to the complexity and efficiency of mass production. The Porsche 911 and 718 sports cars are assembled side by side with racing cars on the same production line – a unique practice in the industry.

Zuffenhausen is home to Porsche’s headquarters and main production plant, where all 911 and 718 models as well as the all-electric Taycan are built. The site also houses the engine production facility, responsible for both traditional combustion engines and high-performance electric drives. This location is central to Porsche’s identity and its innovation in the sports car segment.

 

· Visit to AUDI in Neckarsulm

The Audi plant in Neckarsulm is known for producing premium and high-performance vehicles, including the Audi A6, A7, A8, and the RS models. The site is a leader in lightweight construction and plug-in hybrid technology. Significant development efforts here focus on future mobility solutions, especially the integration of electromobility in the premium segment.

 

· Visit to Flex Automotive Design Center

Flex is a global technology company with a design center in Filderstadt near Stuttgart. In the automotive sector, Flex develops complex electronic systems such as ECUs, DC/DC converters, gateways, and software solutions. The company collaborates closely with leading automotive manufacturers and specializes in solutions for connected, autonomous, and electric vehicles.

 

Participation Fee and Services

The participation fee for the two-day business trip is €1,900 + VAT, and includes:
