The Lithuanian technology company Teltonika has opened four new factories in Vilnius as part of a €320 million investment. Aimed at boosting domestic production of electronic components and reducing reliance on imports, the new facilities – a printed circuit board plant, a plastics and mechanics plant, an electronics assembly plant, and an electronic components plant – mark the completion of the first stage of the company’s High-Tech Hill technology park project. Speaking at the opening ceremony on 18 September 2025, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda (centre) emphasized that the factories would strengthen Lithuania’s security and competitiveness by reducing dependence on imported components. “It is an investment in Lithuania’s technological independence and economic security”, Nausėda said. With the opening of new factories, Teltonika’s production capacity will increase from the current 10 million to 30 million electronic devices per year. By 2030, when the technology park is expected to be fully completed, capacity will reach up to 100 million devices annually. AW
